Global Accounting & Reporting Manager

To start with, the position of Global Accounting & Reporting Manager sits comfortable in the Global Accounting & Reporting Teams. And as a Global Accounting & Reporting Manager you will be asked to be responsible for JDE Peet’s’ accounting policies and external reporting. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Is responsible for determining the organisation’s accounting policies and the communication of these policies throughout the organization.
- Directs and reviews a variety of accounting and reporting activities to ensure that the organisation’s financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
- Reviews all financial reports and accounting statements to ensure they have been accurately prepared.
- Provides technical expertise and advice on complex accounting issues to functional or operational areas
- Selects and manages ongoing relationships with external consultants, advisors and auditors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Qualifications

Given the nature of the role we feel its important for you to have approx. 10 years of experience in Accounting & Reporting as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves”, however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have working in a Big 4 company and a high degree of IFRS knowledge but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
- Approx. 10 years of experience in Accounting & Reporting;
- Big-4 experience (national office experience is a pré);
- High degree of IFRS knowledge;
- Profound analytical skills;
- Fluent in English;
- Knowledge of consolidation software tools;
- Strong communication and documentation skills;
- International experience;
- Preferably a background in FMCG area;
- Experienced with project and process management;
- Flexible attitude in working outside office hours if essential;
- Occasional travelling abroad required.
