Global Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the Global Tax Director, you will be part of JDE Peet’s Global Tax team – a fun and strong team consisting of 13 diverse, driven and well-connected people. The Global Tax team is primarily based in Amsterdam and actively manages, monitors and controls the tax affairs of the entities within the JDE Peet’s group across the globe.

As Global Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager, your focus will be the Dutch direct tax and Global transfer pricing affairs of the JDE Peet’s group. With the headquarters in the Netherlands, and core business functions centralized in the Netherlands, you will be assured of playing a pivotal role in an extensive range of challenging business and corporate projects, working closely together with (senior) stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally. More specifically, as Global Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager, you will:

  • develop and manage the direct tax and transfer pricing strategy and policies – in alignment with the broader finance and business strategy – and design, establish and continuously improve processes and controls to ensure adherence thereto,
  • partner with relevant stakeholders (at global/IHQ, regional and local level, in business and corporate functions) by providing tax technical advice from both a Dutch direct tax and transfer pricing perspective, on an ad-hoc and project related basis. Also, you will be expected to initiate, drive and lead projects and ad-hoc matters as appropriate, and
  • manage and drive the Dutch cooperative compliance agenda (Individueel Toezichtplan), advance tax ruling/advance pricing agreement procedures and – together with the Tax accounting & reporting team – the preparation and filing of the corporate income tax returns in the Netherlands and maintain a strong and professional relationship with the Dutch tax authorities;
  • manage transfer pricing related tax enquiries, tax audits and/or tax litigation processes for JDE entities across the globe,
  • manage – with support from the Global Transfer Pricing Specialist reporting into you –transfer pricing documentation and disclosure compliance by the entities of the JDE Peet’s group based in the Netherlands as well as all JDE entities across the globe.

You will furthermore be expected to closely align with the Tax accounting & reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the direct tax position of the entities of the JDE Peet’s group based in the Netherlands, as well as all JDE entities across the globe to the extent transfer pricing related.

Qualifications

  • A WO / University degree in International and Dutch Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or a relevant Financial education – all with understanding of accounting;
  • At least 8 - 10 years of professional work experience within international tax law obtained in a Big 4 firm and/or MNE;
  • Highly motivated, sociable and good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and common sense skills, solution oriented with a structured way of working;
  • Independent, proactive, responsible and dedicated;
  • Verbal and written fluency in Dutch and English, any additional language is a plus.

Additional Information

  • You are able to work full time (40 hours a week);
  • Travelling abroad may be required for meetings and visits (internally or externally, e.g. with tax authorities in jurisdictions other than the Netherlands);
  • The role requires a level of flexible working conditions as it requires an advanced ability to deal with complex issues with urgency and across all time zones
