Production Scheduler

Job Description

Production Scheduler is responsible for establishing a weekly optimized production sequence agreed with Central Planning to the factory, as well as Green coffee plan according to short/medium forecasts. The position is responsible for short- and long-term supply of packaging materials and optimal inventory management for our manufacturing units. This includes the planning of the operation with the suppliers, cooperating closely with other material planners (central and other plants) and schedulers by coordinating the logistics and inventory of packaging and/or raw materials (including green coffee, if applicable) so that the whole supply chain runs effectively and efficiently. Aim is to achieve desired level of customer service at the least cost, focusing on process improvement, timely delivery and OWC.

Weekly scheduling of process or packing lines:

  • Adhere to the weekly planning process, convert the central production requirements to a short-detailed production sequence considering the available capacity, material constraints and factory resources.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to carry out scheduling in line with other areas.
  • Act as business partner to the production teams to understand their labor, maintenance and project plans and build appropriate plans and contingencies.
  • Communicates available capacity and scheduled downtimes to Central Planning.
  • Manage stakeholders (central planning, controlling, production departments, planning and logistics team).
  • Monitor and Review plan daily and escalate where needed.
  • Perform capacity utilization checks.
  • Supports introductions of new products, production lines/technologies and packaging materials.
  • Maintain APO Master Data.
  • Set up of new materials in systems as required
  • Work closely with PIL and suppliers on projects, like regulatory changes, renovations, or introductions
  • Calculates and timely places orders to suppliers for raw and packaging materials in accordance with production needs based on production plans.
  • Manages the provision of a short to long term (52 weeks) requirements plan for the consumption of materials for suppliers and/or procurement upon request.
  • Identify risks in material supply plans and escalation to enable decisions to be made to achieve business goals and protect customer service

KPIs Delivery:

  • Monitor and report relevant KPIs for Production compliance (TOP, TAP, CSL, Production Frequency, OTIF suppliers).
  • Analyze deviations, propose corrective and preventive actions and implement solutions

Qualifications

  • High level of education, preferably in Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing/ logistic/ supply chain/ new product development job.
  • Preferable with system knowledge (SAP).
  • Experience in a FMCG company is a must >3 years’ experience in Production Planning, Material Planning or a related Supply Chain role
  • Strong planning & supply chain experience with ability to manage multiple inputs from different departments with effective prioritization
  • High level of drive and self-motivation, ambitious to succeed and prepared to go the extra mile
