Coffee Roaster - Fixed Term with Bonus
Job Description
We are looking for two coffee enthusiasts to join our dedicated team of Hummingbird Coffee Roasters on fixed term contracts.
We require an immediate start, through to end August 2022 (eligible for completion bonus).
This is an incredible opportunity for someone with passion for coffee to gain some hands on experience in the art of coffee roasting.
- End to end roasting of green beans to achieve desired roast quality and specification
- Managing and maintaining a continuous supply of roast beans for coffee processing and packing
- Blending coffee to create the distinctive flavour profiles we are known for using ever evolving recipes
- Fill and report records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain high quality standards and aim for continuous improvement
- Working in a team environment to achieve daily and weekly targets
Qualifications
To be the best Coffee Roaster, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- Physical ability to perform repetitive manual tasks (and some heavy lifting) is a must
- Passion for coffee and a desire to achieve the highest quality possible.
- Ability to follow precise processes to ensure consistent quality
- Use your attention to detail and time management skills to weigh, roast, cool and blend to exacting measurements
- Must have the right to work in NZ in a full time capacity
Bonus points for…..
- A hunger for knowledge and learning
- Computer skills (SAP) experience highly regarded but not essential
- Previous roasting, production or machine operator experience
Additional Information
