Project Safety Coordinator
Job Description
The role as Project Safety Coordinator is responsible to drives a zero-incident environment by ensuring all plant associates are committed to the overall Safety, Health and Environmental culture. The role actively leads improvement of Safety and Environmental results to deliver manufacturing excellence. You will lead the implementation of all Global Safety Health and Environment standards in line with legal requirements.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, it is required of you to have:
- Minimum at least a Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent or other relevant professional certification
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a heavy manufacturing/construction environment/FMCG is an added advantage;
- Registered as a competent Site Safety Supervisor with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health and must be Green Book Holder;
- Qualification in auditing on ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001 and Lean programs.
- Physically fit and able to withstand the conditions at the construction site.
- knowledge of Basic Scaffolding will be an added advantage;
- Able to communicate well in English Language and Bahasa Malaysia;
- Proven experience of delivering significant CAPEX investment projects;
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills with experience of navigating complex projects;
- Experience and or well equipped with contractors safety assessment;
- Certified AGT (Authorized Gas Tester), AESP, Integrated Management System will be an added advantage;
- Hands-on experience with less supervision;
